Late Stage Fluorination and its Applications to Drug Discovery

Today it is common practice for the chemical industry to recruit synthetic chemists after doctoral/postdoctoral training, and then augment their synthetic knowledge with specific industrial training.
With the changing nature of the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, it is recognised that synthetic chemists require an earlier understanding of the challenges and methodologies of drug discovery and medicine.
FLUDD arises from the need to address this skills gap with a training program aimed at producing 5 outstanding doctoral scientists fluent in cutting edge synthesis and its applications to disease biology and medicine.
